Uma pesquisa preliminar, realizada com alunos da 3ª série do Ensino Médio que estudam em uma escola pública localizada em Sobradinho-DF, mostrou que existem deficiências no conhecimento dos conteúdos de astronomia conforme previstos nos PCN. Assim, este trabalho além de ampliar a pesquisa para escolas particulares, vai investigar as possíveis causas dessa falta de conhecimento acerca dos conteúdos de astronomia. O estudo analisa a formação dos professores e os conteúdos de astronomia previstos em documentos oficiais. Foi realizada uma análise do conteúdo de astronomia presente em livros didáticos do ensino Fundamental com o objetivo de confrontar os conteúdos ali realizados com os conteúdos presentes nos PCN, e ao final do trabalho realizou-se uma entrevista com professor especialista no Ensino de Astronomia e algumas percepções são extremamente importantes para os alunos, pois é uma ciência interdisciplinar por natureza e utilizam diversos modelos da física, química, matemática, geologia, meteorologia, biologia, entre outras para fundamentar suas descobertas e estão sendo deixados de lado, quando se há uma falta de oportunidade por parte dos professores de aprender conteúdos de astronomia em sua formação. Neste trabalho são identificados alguns destes erros para uma possível reformulação na formação dos professores e consequentemente na formação educacional propiciando assim um melhor ensino de astronomia para os alunos. ________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe work investigates the knowledge of the concepts of astronomy at the end of high school. Preliminary research conducted with students in the 3rd grade of high school studying in a public school located in Sobradinho-DF showed that there are deficiencies in knowledge of the contents of astronomy as provided in NCP. Thus, this paper basides expanding the research to private schools, will investigate the possible causes of this lack of knowledge about the contents of astronomy. The study analysis of the contents of this astronomy textbooks in the elementary school with the goal of comparing the contents therein related to the contents present in the NCP, and the end of the work held an interview with an expert professor in the Teaching of Astronomy of the main University of DF. These concepts related to the topic of astronomy and some perceptions are extremely important for students because it is an interdisciplinary science and nature by using varios models of physics, chermistry, mathematics, geology, meterology, biology, among other reasons for their findings and are being left out when there is a lack of opportunity for teachers to learn about astronomy content in their training.
