Grandes conglomerados de comunicação e agências de notícias – notadamente dos Estados Unidos e da Europa – parecem ter preponderância na configuração da seção de notícias internacionais de jornais brasileiros. Para entender essa estrutura, analisaram-se a origem das matérias, as fontes utilizadas e o enquadramento. Essa discussão parece ter certa relevância hoje, uma vez que a mídia tem sido, no meio científico, entendida como um emergente e talvez influente ator das relações internacionais desde os anos 1990. A análise da estruturação do noticiário durante a Intervenção na Líbia de 2011 nos mostrou que, além da existência de uma dinâmica informacional entre Estados Unidos e Europa com o Brasil, existe um fluxo relevante de informações entre o Brasil e a Líbia. ________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to investigate some relations between the Brazilian press and the international media. Large media corporations and news agencies – notably in the United States and Europe – seem to prevail in shaping international news in Brazilian newspapers. In order to understand this structure, the origin, the sources and the framing of the news have been analyzed. This discussion appears to have some relevance nowadays, since the media has been seen in the scientific community as an emergent and, perhaps, influential actor in international relations since the 1990s.
