Tomando isso como base, percebeu-se a necessidade de focar nas atividades relacionadas ao turismo na cidade de Pirenópolis, destacando seu potencial para o turismo cultural. Este trabalho apresenta a potencialidade da atividade turística ligada ao patrimônio cultural no destino e identifica como esse potencial cultural poderia ser melhor aproveitado de forma a conservar o patrimônio histórico da cidade, tombado pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN), como forma de aumentar o fluxo de turistas interessados nesse segmento. _________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTToday tourism has a significant role in economic development and income generation in some municipalities of Brazil. Taking this as the basis, sensed the need to focus on activities related to tourism in the city of Pirenópolis, highlighting its potential for cultural tourism.
