"Form and serve": historical-educational trajectory of the Instituto de Pastoral Regional (1971-1985)

Resumo: | Inserted in the field of The History of Education, this article addresses the process of creation and institutionalization of the Instituto de Pastoral Regional (IPAR) and aims to understand how this process took place between the 1970s and 1980s. The work is the result of historical-documentary research and a bibliographic survey of works that subsidies it theoretically. We identified the Amazonian socioeconomic context, the ecclesial events that influenced the Institute, in addition to the process of foundation and institutionalization. We infer that the IPAR, fundamental to the church's action in the Amazon, promoted part of the cultural and intellectual development of the region. |

El trabajo es el resultado de una investigación histórico-documental y un relevamiento bibliográfico de obras que lo sustentan teoricamente. Identificamos el contexto socioeconómico amazónico, los acontecimientos eclesiales que influyeron en el Instituto, además del proceso de fundación e institucionalización. Inferimos que el IPAR, fundamental para la acción de la Iglesia en la Amazonía, promovió parte del desarrollo cultural e intelectual de la región.Inserido no campo da História da Educação, este artigo aborda o processo de criação e institucionalização do Instituto de Pastoral Regional (IPAR) e tem como objetivo compreender de que maneira se deu esse processo entre as décadas 1970 e 1980. O trabalho é resultado de pesquisa histórico-documental e de um levantamento bibliográfico de obras que o subsidiam teoricamente. Identificamos o contexto socioeconômico amazônico, os acontecimentos eclesiais que influenciaram o Instituto, além do processo de fundação e institucionalização.
