Epistemological approaches between the STS approach and professional and technological education

Resumo: This article presents the results of a research on Professional and Technological Education in Brazil and the approach Science-Technology-Society (STS). The aim was to identify points of epistemological convergence between the teaching modality and approach. To achieve this objective, a qualitative bibliographical research was conducted, based on the works of Frigotto (1999), Cardoso (2008), Frigotto et al. (2005), Garcia (2000), and others. After analyzing, we found several points of convergence that were categorized into two emerging themes: the first one deals with the concepts. The second theme reveals methodological guidelines and objectives proposed.

The second theme reveals methodological guidelines and objectives proposed.El presente artículo muestra conclusiones de una investigación sobre Educación Profesional y Tecnológica en Brasil y el enfoque Ciencia-Tecnologia-Sociedad (CTS), buscando identificar puntos de aproximación epistemológica entre ambas. Para alcanzar este objetivo se realizó una investigación cualitativa bibliográfica, abordando los trabajos de Frigotto (1999), Cardoso (2008), Frigotto et al. (2005) y Garcia (2000), entre otros. Así, se encontraron varios puntos de aproximación que, para una mejor exposición, fueron separados en dos categorías: una que trata de conceptos y otra mostrando aproximaciones vinculadas a las orientaciones metodológicas y los objetivos propuestos.O presente artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa referente à Educação Profissional e Tecnológica no Brasil e à abordagem Ciência-Tecnologia-Sociedade (CTS), visando identificar pontos de aproximação epistemológica entre as referidas modalidade e abordagem de ensino. Para alcançar tal objetivo optou-se por uma pesquisa qualitativa bibliográfica junto aos trabalhos de Frigotto (1999), Cardoso (2008), Frigotto et al. (2005), Garcia (2000) entre outros.
