ARE THE PERIODS OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT ACCORDING TO PIAGET AND RESEARCH METHODS IN PSYCHOLOGYCOMPARABLE?

Resumo: This paper discusses several points of view presented by Biaggio, in this issue, in which she demonstrated (1) the superiority of the experimental method over other methods in psychology, (2) the operational structure of the experimental method, and (3) a parallel between periods of child development and research methods in Psychology. She also used aspects (2) and (3) as arguments in the defense of (1). These arguments are analyzed by the author, who concentrates his discussion on the negation of a parallel between periods of development and research methods in psychology.

(Psicologia: Teoria e Pesquisa,1985, 1). Nele, ela demonstrou (1) a superioridade do métodoexperimental sobre outros métodos de pesquisa em Psicologia, (2) aestrutura operatória do método experimental e (3) um paralelismo entreperíodos de desenvolvimento da criança e métodos de pesquisa emPsicologia. Além disso, ela usou os aspectos (2) e (3) como argumentospara a defesa de (1).
