Information retrieval and scientific visibility from the perspective of persistent identifiers

Resumo: Discusses the use of persistent allotal and institutional identifiers in the organization and access to scientific information in a digital environment, aiming to verify such forms of informational representation to optimize retrieval. The research is of a bibliographic and documentary nature, counting on a bibliographic survey for the theoretical basis of the arguments; and it is also practical in that it analyzes the applicability of two persistent organizational identifiers and three persistent authorial identifiers, through experimental verification in recovery platforms. As a result, the analysis of the use of persistent identifiers shows that the initiatives are not yet widely adopted and most sources do not present search options for these fields. It is concluded that it is essential to carry out research that discusses the use of persistent identifiers and evidence the need to strengthen unique initiatives, whether authorial or organizational, providing a broad understanding and use by researchers and institutions, consolidating itself as facilitators in accessing scientific information, especially in a digital environment.

La investigación es de carácter bibliográfico y documental, contando con un levantamiento bibliográfico para la fundamentación teórica de los argumentos; y también es práctico porque analiza la aplicabilidad de dos identificadores organizacionales persistentes y tres identificadores autorales persistentes, a través de la verificación experimental en plataformas de recuperación. Como resultado, el análisis del uso de identificadores persistentes muestra que las iniciativas aún no son ampliamente adoptadas y la mayoría de las fuentes no presentan opciones de búsqueda para estos campos. Se concluye que es fundamental realizar investigaciones que discutan el uso de identificadores persistentes y evidencien la necesidad de fortalecer iniciativas únicas, ya sean autorales u organizacionales, brindando un amplio entendimiento y uso por parte de investigadores e instituciones, consolidándose como facilitadores en el acceso a información científica. información, especialmente en un entorno digital.Discorre sobre o uso dos identificadores persistentes alotais e institucionais na organização e acesso à informação científica em ambiente digital, tendo como objetivo verificar tais formas de representação informacional para otimização da recuperação. A pesquisa é de natureza bibliográfica e documental contando com levantamento bibliográfico para embasamento teórico das argumentações; e é também de cunho prático pois analisa a aplicabilidade de dois identificadores persistentes organizacionais e três identificadores persistentes autorais, por meio de verificação experimental em plataformas de recuperação. Como resultados têm-se que a análise da utilização de identificadores persistentes mostra que as iniciativas ainda não são largamente adotadas e a maioria das fontes não apresentam opções de busca por estes campos.
