A necessidade de sua efetivação é manifestada em âmbito coletivo e individual, sendo assegurada institucionalmente por meio de documentos e declarações nacionais e internacionais. A Educação e a instituição escolar assumem, nesse contexto, essencial função junto à formação de indivíduos pacíficos e agentes de transformação social, contribuindo no processo de construção da paz em sua abrangência social e individual. A Educação para a Paz envolve, nesse sentido, a Educação sobre a Paz, contemplando os conteúdos coadunados aos seus objetivos, e a Educação em Paz, que abrange a construção de espaços pacíficos de desenvolvimento e aprendizagem. O presente trabalho objetivou identificar as concepções de professores e alunos de uma instituição pública de ensino do Distrito Federal acerca da construção da Cultura de Paz na escola, bem como verificar as práticas desenvolvidas e sugeridas pelos diferentes atores com vistas ao desenvolvimento de ações pacíficas na instituição educativa. Baseado na perspectiva sociocultural construtivista do desenvolvimento humano, que contempla o papel constitutivo dos contextos socioculturais no desenvolvimento individual, o papel ativo e intencional do sujeito em relação ao seu desenvolvimento e a bidirecionalidade da transmissão cultural, a presente pesquisa enfocou a escola como espaço privilegiado de convívio e aprendizagem e contemplou a articulação entre as considerações teóricas acerca da Educação para a Paz e as concepções dos docentes e discentes para sua efetivação no contexto escolar. Participaram da pesquisa oito professoras que atuavam da Educação Infantil ao primeiro segmento do Ensino Fundamental e dez alunos da 4ª série da mesma instituição educacional. Para tanto, procedeu-se a pesquisa por meio de três sessões de entrevista em grupo com professores e duas sessões de entrevista em grupo com alunos, realizando-se análise de conteúdo dos dados e discussão das categorias temáticas abordadas. Os resultados referentes aos docentes contemplaram sua concepção sobre a paz, como a paz é construída, onde e como trabalhar a paz na escola, dificuldades intraescolares na construção da paz e propostas de ação para sua construção na instituição escolar. Os alunos apresentaram-se como construtores da paz, expuseram ações que não favorecem a paz na escola e indicaram ações dos profissionais escolares, família e melhorias ambientais para a construção da paz. As conclusões da pesquisa apontam a possibilidade e a necessidade da construção da Cultura da Paz na instituição escolar por meio de estratégias educativas gerais voltadas aos profissionais e alunos da escola; e específicas voltadas aos professores, alunos, família e comunidade, envolvendo medidas que contemplam desde as relações intra-escolares até propostas em âmbito de políticas educacionais. _____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe construction of Peace Culture is presented as a dynamic process that crosses the Humanity History. The necessity of its consolidation is revealed in a collective and individual scope, being institutionally guaranteed through national and international documents and declarations. The Education and scholar institution assume, in this context, essential function beside the formation of pacific individuals and social transformation agents, contributing in the process of peace construction in its social and individual comprehension. The Education for Peace encloses, in this direction, the Education concerning Peace, contemplating the contents connected to its objectives, and the Education in Peace, that encloses the construction of pacific spaces of development and learning. The aim of the present work was to identify the professors and students’ conceptions of a public educative institution in the Federal District concerning the Peace Culture construction in the school, as well as verifying the practices developed and suggested for the different actors with sights to the development of pacific actions in the educative institution. Based in the sociocultural construtivist perspective for the study of human development, that contemplates the constituent paper of the sociocultural contexts in the individual development, the individual’s active and intentional paper in relation to its development and the bidirectional transmission of culture, the present research focused on the school as privileged space of conviviality and learning and contemplated the joint enters the theoretical considerations concerning the Peace Education and the conceptions of the professors and students for its accomplishment in the school context. Eight teachers who acted from the pre-school till the first segment of primary school and ten students of 4th grade of the same educational institution had participated of this research. For it, the research was proceeded into three sessions with professors’ interview group and two sessions with students’ interview group, analyzing the contents and thematic categories. The professors’ results had contemplated their conception of peace, how peace is constructed, where and how to work peace in the school, internal scholar difficulties in the construction of peace and action proposals for its construction in school institution. The students had presented themselves as constructors of peace, had displayed actions that do not collaborate to peace in the school and had indicated school professionals and family actions and ambient improvements for the construction of peace.
