Development of corn (Zea mays L.) culture: literature review

Resumo: | Maize is a plant belonging to the grasses family, or Poaceae, possessing the second place as the most produced cereal in the country in the year 2017. In this context, through the realization of this review, it was objected to highlight general and peculiar characteristics about maize cultivation. Bringing, in such a way, more knowledge to the rural and urban population about the potential of culture in the country. In the development of this study, researches of bibliographic nature were conducted, based on the databases of Scielo, Capes and Google scholar, published between the years 2010 to 2018. In the Constitution of this research, we used 44 national articles, 02 International articles, 01 monograph, 02 dissertations, 02 Theses, 01 folder and 02 newsletters. Through the development of this work it was possible to gather important characteristics for the culture, whether they are more general characteristics, popularly disseminated among farmers, as the most peculiar, but of fundamental importance to the Culture development. Thus, it was possible to gather in one work, themes that can help in the development of maize cultivation, increasing the productivity and viability of the crop. It can be concluded that maize constitutes a culture of paramount importance in Brazil and tends to grow even more. |

El maíz es una planta perteneciente a la familia de las gramíneas, o Poaceae, que posee el segundo lugar como el cereal más producido en el país en el año 2017. En este contexto, a través de la realización de este examen, se objetó destacar las características generales y peculiares sobre el cultivo del maíz. Aportando, de tal manera, más conocimiento a la población rural y urbana sobre el potencial de la cultura en el país. En el desarrollo de este estudio, se realizaron investigaciones de naturaleza bibliográfica, basadas en las bases de datos de Scielo, Capes y Google scholar, publicadas entre los años 2010 a 2018. En la Constitución de esta investigación, utilizamos 44 artículos nacionales, 02 artículos internacionales, 01 monografía, 02 disertaciones, 02 Tesis, 01 carpetas y 02 boletines informativos. A través del desarrollo de este trabajo fue posible reunir características importantes para la cultura, ya sean características más generales, popularmente difundidas entre los agricultores, como las más peculiares, pero de importancia fundamental para la Desarrollo cultural. Así, fue posible reunir en una sola obra, temas que pueden ayudar en el desarrollo del cultivo del maíz, aumentando la productividad y viabilidad del cultivo. Se puede concluir que el maíz constituye un cultivo de suma importancia en Brasil y tiende a crecer aún más.O milho é uma planta pertencente à família das gramíneas, ou Poaceae, possuindo o segundo lugar como o cereal mais produzido no país no ano de 2017. Neste contexto, o presente estudo objetiva evidenciar características gerais e peculiares acerca do cultivo do milho. Trazendo, de tal maneira, mais conhecimento para a população rural e urbana sobre as potencialidades da cultura no país. No desenvolvimento deste trabalho foram realizadas pesquisas de cunho bibliográfico, baseado nas bases de dados da Scielo, Capes e Google Acadêmico, publicados entre os anos de 2010 e 2018. Na constituição da pesquisa, foram utilizados 44 artigos nacionais, 02 artigos internacionais, 01 monografia, 02 dissertações, 02 teses, 01 folder e 02 informativos. Através do desenvolvimento deste trabalho foi possível reunir características importantes para a cultura, quer sejam características mais gerais, popularmente difundidas entre os agricultores, como as mais peculiares, mas, de fundamental importância para o desenvolvimento da cultura. Desta forma, foi possível reunir em um só trabalho, temas que podem auxiliar no desenvolvimento do cultivo do milho, aumentando a produtividade e viabilidade da cultura. Podendo-se concluir que o milho se constitui como uma cultura de suma importância no Brasil e que tende a crescer mais ainda.
