Media Ecology, Transhumanism and the Metaverse: Challenges for Media and Technological Literacy

Resumo: This study aimed to explore Media Ecology (ME) and its impact on culture and education in the digital age. Analyze key concepts, examine their use in different contexts, identify tools for media and technology literacy, and assess their effect on contemporary society. As a methodology, a bibliographic review was carried out to collect relevant information on MS and related aspects. Identifying influential authors and essential tools for media and technological literacy. In addition, comparative analyzes were carried out to understand the role of MI in different contexts and its impact on today's society. As Development and Results: Several tables were presented that summarized the key concepts in EM, its use, tools, and the impact of EM in society. These tables provided an overview of the topics covered and highlighted MS-related authors and works. As Final considerations, this work underlined the importance of media and technological literacy in today's society, where MS plays a fundamental role in perception, understanding and cultural values. The need to understand the negative and positive effects of MS, its contribution to overcoming media and cultural “numbness”, was emphasized. This study provided a solid foundation for understanding MS and its relevance to contemporary education and culture. It is hoped that this analysis will inspire further research and discussion in this ever-evolving field.

Analizar conceptos clave, examinar su uso en diferentes contextos, identificar herramientas para la alfabetización mediática y tecnológica y evaluar su efecto en la sociedad contemporánea. Como metodología se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sistemática para recolectar información relevante sobre la EM y aspectos relacionados. Identificar autores influyentes y herramientas esenciales para la alfabetización mediática y tecnológica. Además, se llevaron a cabo análisis comparativos para comprender el papel de la EM en diferentes contextos y su impacto en la sociedad actual. Cómo Desarrollo y Resultados: Se presentaron varias tablas que resumen los principales conceptos de la EM, su uso, herramientas y el impacto de la EM en la sociedad. Estas tablas proporcionan una descripción general de los temas cubiertos, destacando autores y trabajos relacionados con la EM. Como consideraciones finales, este trabajo destacó la importancia de la alfabetización mediática y tecnológica en la sociedad actual, donde el SM juega un papel fundamental en la percepción, comprensión y valores culturales. Se enfatizó la necesidad de comprender los efectos negativos y positivos de la EM y su contribución para superar el “adormecimiento” mediático y cultural. Este estudio proporcionó una base sólida para comprender la EM y su relevancia para la educación y la cultura contemporáneas. Se espera que este análisis inspire más investigaciones y debates en este campo en constante evolución.Este estudo teve como objetivo explorar a Ecologia da Mídia (EM) e seu impacto na cultura e na educação na era digital. Analisar conceitos-chave, examinar a sua utilização em diferentes contextos, identificar ferramentas para a literacia mediática e tecnológica e avaliar o seu efeito na sociedade contemporânea. Como metodologia, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica para coletar informações relevantes sobre a SM e aspectos relacionados. Identificar autores influentes e ferramentas essenciais para a literacia mediática e tecnológica. Além disso, foram realizadas análises comparativas para compreender o papel das IM em diferentes contextos e o seu impacto na sociedade atual. Como Desenvolvimento e Resultados: Foram apresentadas diversas tabelas que resumiam os principais conceitos da GR, seu uso, ferramentas e o impacto da GR na sociedade. Estas tabelas forneceram uma visão geral dos tópicos abordados e destacaram autores e trabalhos relacionados com a EM. Como Considerações Finais, este trabalho sublinhou a importância da literacia mediática e tecnológica na sociedade atual, onde o MS desempenha um papel fundamental na perceção, compreensão e valores culturais. Foi enfatizada a necessidade de compreender os efeitos negativos e positivos da EM, o seu contributo para a superação do “entorpecimento” mediático e cultural. Este estudo forneceu uma base sólida para a compreensão da EM e sua relevância para a educação e cultura contemporâneas.
