Resumo: | ABSTRACT: Bullying is a public health problem present mainly in schools. Therefore, this work sought to identify the similarities and dissonances regarding the understanding of elementary and middle school students about bullying in schools in Arapiraca-AL. This is a quantitative study that was carried out in the framework of public schools in Arapiraca-AL, two elementary schools and two high schools in the period from November 2016 to August 2017. Educational visits and actions were carried out in schools, being applied polls that obtained the participation of 516 students with age group of 10-29 years. The bullying issue was presented using a banner, and experience sheets were used during the interventions. The data collected were tabulated in a Microsoft Office Excel worksheet, version 2013. Students showed an interest in the subject and reported on the need to approach in schools. The survey data reflected that it is essential to have other moments in the schools for discussions and awareness on the subject. In all schools bullying is present, but generally consider the practice as a joke. In this perspective, interventions are shown as an important tool to do a previous analysis of thematic in school. In view of the above, it is important to highlight that, regardless of the school level, students have little knowledge about the theme, however, the interest was evident, which may facilitate future interventions. In addition, schools can partner with the health department to promote psychological counseling with students. KEYWORD: Violence at school, educational action, sensitization. |

Diante disso, este trabalho buscou identificar as semelhanças e dissonâncias a respeito da compreensão de estudantes do ensino fundamental e médio sobre bullying em escolas de Arapiraca-AL. Trata-se de um estudo quantiqualitativo, que foi realizado em quatro escolas da rede pública de Arapiraca-AL, duas de ensino fundamental e duas de ensino médio no período de novembro 2016 a agosto de 2017. Foram realizadas visitas e ações educativas nas escolas, sendo aplicadas enquetes que obteve a participação de 516 alunos com faixa etária de 10-29 anos. A temática do bullying foi apresentada utilizando banner e foram adotadas fichas de vivências durante as intervenções. Os dados coletados foram tabulados em planilha do Microsoft Office Excel, versão 2013. Os alunos demonstraram interesse pela temática e relataram da necessidade de abordagem nas escolas. Os dados das enquetes refletiram que é essencial que se tenha outros momentos nas escolas para discussões e sensibilização sobre o tema. Em todas as escolas o bullying se faz presente, mas geralmente consideram a prática como brincadeira. Nesta perspectiva, intervenções se mostram como uma ferramenta importante para se fazer uma análise prévia da temática na escola. Diante do exposto, é relevante destacar que independentemente do nível escolar os alunos possuem pouco conhecimento sobre o tema, porém, o interesse foi evidente, o que pode facilitar futuras intervenções. Ademais, as escolas podem fazer parcerias com a secretaria de saúde, para promover acompanhamento psicológico com os alunos.
