Resumo: ABSTRACT: The present was carried out with the intention of sharing formative experiences of teaching in Geography, acquired through living in the school space, observation and participation in classes and extra-class activities, and carrying out interventions through a teaching project. The reflections, training and production of scientific research were acquired within the scope of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID), carried out at the Colégio Estadual Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes, located in the urban area of Araguaína-TO. It is an exploratory and qualitative research, built through literature review, reports of the experience at school, socialization of experiences between academics, school teacher, and PIBID coordinator of Geography. The results demonstrate PIBID as of fundamental importance in the initial training of teachers, since it provides a broad notion of the reality and everyday practice of teaching work, effectively contributing to the improvement of teaching-learning in Geography Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarships KEYWORDS: PIBID. Experience report.RESUMO: O presente trabalho foi realizado com intento de compartilhar experiências formativas de docência em Geografia, adquiridas através da vivência no espaço escolar, observação e participação em aulas e atividades extraclasse, e efetivação de intervenções por meio de projeto de ensino. As reflexões, formação e produção de pesquisa científica foram adquiridas no âmbito do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID), efetivadas no Colégio Estadual Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes, localizada na área urbana de Araguaína-TO. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e qualitativa, construída por meio de revisão de literatura, relatos da vivência na escola, socialização de experiências entre acadêmicos, docente da escola, e coordenador do PIBID de Geografia. Os resultados demonstram o PIBID como de fundamental importância na formação inicial de docentes, visto que propicia uma noção ampla da realidade e da prática cotidiana do trabalho docente, contribuindo efetivamente na melhoria do ensino-aprendizagem em Geografia.
