Resumo: In this article we address the post-construction period of the Sobradinho dam, which caused numerous socio-environmental impacts to the affected municipalities of Sento-Sé, Remanso, Casa Nova and Pilão Arcado, flooded for the construction of the hydroelectric plant. The objective of this work is to analyze the political discourse of development in the state, to justify the dam construction project and the relocation of the population from Sentose and other affected communities. The methodology used to develop this research was the semi-structured interview that refers to a collective and individual memory, identifying social and historical significance, in which it reconstitutes a look at this past that still exerts strong influences in the present. This study resulted in a written record that narrates the recollections of witnesses who experienced this time.

This study resulted in a written record that narrates the recollections of witnesses who experienced this time.En este artículo abordamos el período posterior a la construcción de la presa de Sobradinho, que provocó numerosos impactos socioambientales en los municipios afectados de Sento-Sé, Remanso, Casa Nova y Pilão Arcado, inundados para la construcción de la hidroeléctrica. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el discurso político de desarrollo en el estado, para justificar el proyecto de construcción de la represa y la reubicación de la población de Sentose y otras comunidades afectadas. La metodología utilizada para desarrollar esta investigación fue la entrevista semiestructurada que remite a una memoria colectiva e individual, identificando significación social e histórica, en la que reconstituye una mirada sobre ese pasado que aún ejerce fuertes influencias en el presente. Este estudio resultó en un registro escrito que narra los recuerdos de testigos que vivieron este tiempo.Neste artigo abordamos o período pós-construção da barragem de Sobradinho que provocou inúmeros impactos socioambientais aos municípios atingidos de Sento-Sé, Remanso, Casa Nova e Pilão Arcado, inundados para a construção da hidrelétrica. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o discurso político de desenvolvimento do estado, para justificar o projeto da construção do barramento e a relocação da população sentoseense e demais comunidades atingidas. A metodologia utilizada para desenvolver esta pesquisa foi a entrevista semiestruturada que remete a uma memória coletiva e individual, identificando significâncias sociais e históricas, nas quais reconstitui um olhar sobre esse passado que exerce ainda fortes influências no presente.
