SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT “INTERNATIONALIZATION” IN HIGHER EDUCATION: PROXIMITY TO THE OBJECT AND SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION: proximidade do objeto e construção social

Resumo: ABSTRACT This article aims to analyze how the subject's thinking about the represented social object – “internationalization” – can contribute to strengthening this policy in Higher Education. In the study we used the qualitative approach based on the Theory and Method of Social Representations (MOSCOVICI, 1978; JODELET, 2001; ABRIC, 2000; SÁ, 1998; VERGÈS, 1994). The non-probabilistic sampling included the participation of managers and teachers who work at a Higher Education Institution in the State of Bahia, totaling 20 subjects who were potential informants. To collect data, we used the Free Word Association Technique (FWAT) and semi-structured interviews. The results indicate that the social representations of these subjects, regarding “internationalization” in Higher Education, are built in a process anchored in their knowledge, where academic mobility is triggered by cooperation and agreements that, in turn, can contribute to the production and dissemination of globalized knowledge. En el estudio utilizamos el enfoque cualitativo basado en la Teoría y Método de las Representaciones Sociales (MOSCOVICI, 1978; JODELET, 2001; ABRIC, 2000; SÁ, 1998; VERGÈS, 1994). El muestreo no probabilístico contó con la participación de directivos y docentes que actúan en una Institución de Educación Superior del Estado de Bahía, totalizando 20 sujetos que fueron potenciales informantes. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la Técnica de Asociación de Palabras Libres (TALP) y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados indican que las representaciones sociales de estos sujetos, respecto de la “internacionalización” en la Educación Superior, se construyen en un proceso anclado en sus saberes, donde la movilidad académica es gatillada por cooperación y acuerdos que, a su vez, pueden contribuir a la producción y difusión. del conocimiento globalizado. Palabras clave: Representaciones Sociales; Educación universitaria; Política de Internacionalización.RÉSUMÉ Cet article vise à analyser comment la réflexion du sujet sur l'objet social représenté – « l'internationalisation » – peut contribuer à renforcer cette politique dans l'enseignement supérieur. Dans cette étude, nous avons utilisé l'approche qualitative basée sur la Théorie et la Méthode des Représentations Sociales (MOSCOVICI, 1978; JODELET, 2001; ABRIC, 2000; SÁ, 1998; VERGÈS, 1994). L'échantillonnage non probabiliste comprenait la participation de gestionnaires et d'enseignants travaillant dans un établissement d'enseignement supérieur de l'État de Bahia, totalisant 20 sujets qui étaient des informateurs potentiels. Pour collecter des données, nous avons utilisé la Technique d'Association de Mots Libres (TAML) et des entretiens semi-structurés. Les résultats indiquent que les représentations sociales de ces matières, concernant « l’internationalisation » dans l’enseignement supérieur, se construisent dans un processus ancré dans leurs connaissances, où la mobilité académique est déclenchée par la coopération et les accords qui, à leur tour, peuvent contribuer à la production et à la diffusion. de connaissances mondialisées. No estudo utilizamos a abordagem qualitativa fundada na Teoria e Método das Representações Sociais (MOSCOVICI, 1978; JODELET, 2001; ABRIC, 2000; SÁ, 1998; VERGÈS, 1994). A amostragem não probabilística contou com a participação de gestores e docentes que atuam em uma Instituição de Ensino Superior, do Estado da Bahia, totalizando 20 sujeitos que foram informantes em potencial. Para a coleta de dados utilizamos a Técnica de Associação Livre de Palavras (TALP) e entrevista semiestruturada.
