Before and after the shooting: the antigenocidal poetics of the black saraus

Resumo: This article aims to analyze how, throughout the republic, the national security forces, at the service of the State, implemented a broad process of genocide against the Brazilian black population. The statistics, which each year shock with the increase in crimes, have increasingly revealed the structural racism ingrained in the Brazilian military and civil police. That said, it is more than necessary to draw an overview of this ongoing tragedy, always catching a glimpse of the increasingly realistic data produced by the State itself, which insists that there is no racism in Brazil, but the numbers show the opposite. This article proposes to debate, firstly, how the emergence and performance of the military police can take place, mainly, in relation to marginalized and peripheral subjects. Then show how marginalized and peripheral subjects used poetry to denounce and fight this extermination, writing poetry, creating cultural spaces ant moving peripheral spaces. Reflections on this genocide are supported by contributions from Michel Misse (2011); Mércia Amorim (2020); Maria Aparecida Bento (2002); in addition to the Atlas of Violence (2019) and personal accounts suffered at the hands of the military police. [Received on: May 21, 2021 - Accepted on: June 18, 2021]O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar como, ao longo de toda república, as forças de segurança nacional, a serviço do Estado, implementaram um amplo processo de genocídio da população negra brasileira. As estatísticas, que a cada ano chocam com o aumento dos crimes, têm cada vez mais revelado o racismo estrutural entranhado nas policias militares e civis brasileira. Dito isto, é mais que necessário traçarmos um panorama dessa tragédia em andamento, vislumbrando sempre os dados cada vez mais realistas produzidos pelo próprio Estado, que insistem em dizer que não há racismo no Brasil, mas os números mostram o contrário. Esse artigo se propõe a debater, primeiramente, como se dar o surgimento e atuação das policias militares, principalmente, frente aos sujeitos marginalizados e periféricos. Depois mostrarem como os sujeitos marginalizados e periféricos usaram da poesia para denunciar e combater esse extermínio, escrevendo poesias, criando espaços culturais, movimentando espaços periféricos. As reflexões acerca desse genocídio são subsidiadas pelas contribuições de Michel Misse (2011); Mércia Amorim (2020); Maria Aparecida Bento (2002); além do Atlas da violência (2019) e relatos pessoais sofridos nas mãos da polícia militar.
