The trajectory and the roles played by the Human Resources area: from the bookkeeper to the people manager

Resumo: The area that we call Human Resources – RH – has not always had this name, nor either did it act in the way it does nowadays, with the present objectives. With the changes in the world of work, the RH area started to work in a different way, incorporating the responsibility of preparing the worker to what is most important for the company. This article is about the RH trajectory and the development of its activities from its creation until the current days. The RH will be analyzed as an area of business administration, based on the theoretical reference of Pierre Bourdieu.

Com as mudanças no mundo do trabalho, o RH passou a atuar de maneira diferente acompanhando as necessidades da produção flexível e incorporou a responsabilidade de preparar o trabalhador tarefas consideradas importantes para a empresa. Assim, esse artigo apresenta inicialmente a trajetória da área de RH e os papéis que desempenhou desde sua criação até os dias atuais.
