Resumo: This paper examines the effects of politics productivity to new generations of academic experience in the doctoral programe of a Brazilian public university. It was intended to demonstrate such as: the academic has understood the production of knowledge, and what have been the main difficulties and motivations for doing a PhD nowadays. Considering that these women embrace their doctorate based on the acertive that they shall have better chances to compete in the labor market. It was concluded that despite the difficulties experienced during the doctoral phase, the academic still seek to incorporate the academic habitus socially valued, even being aware that it has caused negative effects on their lives.

Pretendeu-se demonstrar como as acadêmicas tem compreendido a produção do conhecimento e quais têm sido suas principais dificuldades e motivações para fazer um curso de doutorado na atualidade, considerando que estas mulheres buscam a partir da conclusão do doutorado, melhores possibilidades para competir no mercado de trabalho.
