Consecration in the writing of history: sociological remarks on the magazine Joaquim

In this paper, we try to grasp the analytical issues associated with the study of consecrated literary and artistic productions, in the perspective of the social sciences. We take as a case study the analysis of the magazine Joaquim, published in Curitiba between 1946 and 1948. It is considered the starting point in the development of modern thought in the intellectual history of the state of Paraná. To begin with, this analysis will replace the magazine in the context of the historical relations that conditioned its existence. In order to do so, the analysis must reconsider the native categories that support the present discourses about the subject and its consecrated status. At the same time, it is important to consider the reasons for its consecration, which is based on an objective process that establishes certain emphases as legitimate in the writing of history. Finally, we demonstrate the practical purpose of the selective nature of the consecration processes.
