Scratch potentialities in Basic Education

Resumo: The present study shows the possible capabilities of Scratch when used in the final years of elementary school classroom, in the town of Igaci-AL. This work is qualitative in nature with a descriptive and exploratory approach according to Richardson (2009) and the fieldwork. The research data were gathered through a semi-structured questionnaire among four teachers from the Igaci teaching network who use Scratch in the classroom as researchers. For data analysis, Bardin's content analysis (2016) were taken as reference, which allowed us to understand that through Scratch software, the student develops the ability to solve pre-existing problems that may arise throughout the process. The results pointed out in this research also indicate that when working with this software the student becomes the author of their own study materials as it is a tool that enables creativity and the development of logical reasoning in an attempt to find answers to the various situations encountered.

Este trabajo es de naturaleza cualitativa, y el enfoque es descriptivo y exploratorio, como Richardson (2009), y con el trabajo de campo. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario semiestructurado, con cuatro maestros de la Red de Enseñanza de Igaci que usan Scratch en el aula. Para el análisis de datos, se tomó como referencia el Análisis de Contenido de Bardin (2016), lo que nos permitió comprender que, a través del software Scratch, el estudiante desarrolla la capacidad de resolver problemas preexistentes que puedan surgir durante el proceso. Los resultados obtenidos en esta investigación también indican que cuando se trabaja con este software, el estudiante se convierte en el autor de sus materiales de estudio, ya que es una herramienta que permite la creatividad y el desarrollo del razonamiento lógico, en un intento de encontrar respuestas a las diversas situaciones encontradas.O estudo apresentado mostra as possíveis potencialidades do Scratch usado em sala de aula, nos Anos Finais do Ensino Fundamental, no município de Igaci-AL. Este trabalho é de natureza qualitativa, e a abordagem é descritiva e exploratória, conforme Richardson (2009), complementado com o trabalho de campo. Os dados foram coletados através de um questionário semiestruturado, tendo como participantes da pesquisa quatro professores da Rede de Ensino de Igaci que fazem uso do Scratch em sala de aula. Para a análise dos dados, tomou-se como referência a Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin (2016), que nos permitiu entender que, através do software Scratch, o estudante desenvolve capacidade de solucionar problemas pré-existentes ou que venham a surgir no decorrer do processo. Os resultados levantados, nesta pesquisa, também apontam que, quando se trabalha com esse software, o estudante se torna o autor de seus materiais de estudo, pois, é uma ferramenta que possibilita a criatividade e o desenvolvimento do raciocínio lógico na tentativa de encontrar respostas para as diversas situações encontradas.Faculdade de Ciências e Letras/Unesp2021-02-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionQualitativo.
