Resumo: This paper is about an ethnographical research in an early childhood education locate at Campinas city. We observed what is the meaning of body and movement of the children during the early childhood education routine. The observation was dialog through Foucault’s studies about the disciplining of bodies inside modern institutions and constitution of people subjectivities. During four weeks we observed one class with children between 3 year and 6 months and 6 years old and informal conversation classroom´s teacher and scholar coordinator. In according with the observed and read of the theoretical referentially we detach some points: how the children body was seen in the different spaces of CEMEI and how it was organized; what bodily attitudes the teachers demanded from the children and what the context of the tricks made by the teachers. In according with Foucault and the field inquiry we can realize that what people are and do is not defined previously. Then, it is possible to question the constitution of ourselves. If we assume that scholar practices are sociality building, we can realize that it can be rethought and restructured, experimenting another form to act and teach in the early childhood education.

Buscamos entender qual o significado atribuído ao corpo/ movimento das crianças durante toda a rotina da instituição. O referencial utilizado foi o estudo de Foucault a respeito da disciplinarização dos corpos e construção das subjetividades nas instituições disciplinares modernas. Durante quatro semanas observamos a rotina de uma sala que atendia crianças de 3,5 a 6 anos, além da realização de conversas informais com as professoras e coordenadora pedagógica da instituição. De acordo com o observado, analisamos os seguintes pontos: a maneira que o corpo da criança era tratado nos diferentes espaços do CEMEI, como era a organização destes espaços, quais as atitudes corporais exigidas das crianças pela professora e o significado das brincadeiras dirigidas. De acordo com Foucault e o observado em campo, podemos pensar que, o que somos e fazemos não está definido previamente, assim, é possível problematizar nossa constituição como indivíduo.
