Resumo: Artificial intelligence has been rapidly advancing and is being applied in various fields, bringing innovations to data-driven decision-making processes. In the context of information and knowledge management, it has the potential to transform the processes of data collection, analysis, organization, and dissemination. However, complex ethical issues also arise that require reflection. The overall objective of this article is to present reflections and concepts on artificial intelligence and ethical considerations in information and knowledge management. The methodological approach of the study is qualitative, based on documentary sources, with a review of academic sources such as scientific articles, books, and official documents. Artificial intelligence is transforming the paradigms of information and knowledge management. Understanding the ethical implications is essential to ensure a responsible, transparent, and ethical approach to its use. Additionally, discussing the information competencies required to deal with artificial intelligence is crucial for training professionals and managers to address the challenges and seize the opportunities provided by this ever-evolving technology
