Scientometric Analysis of the Publications of the Educar em Revista Journal (2001 to 2020)

Resumo: | The study of research and the history of education through scientific journals allows expanding knowledge and highlighting important content for education. It aims to analyze the journal Educar em Revista da UFPR, period from 2001 to 2020. Descriptive research combines a quantitative/quali approach for the presentation and analysis of data through bibliometrics and scientometrics. The research corpus consisted of 1182 articles from a universe of 1208 documents. The results revealed a predominance of article as a documentary typology and greater presence of single authorship; co-occurrence of terms formed by 265 words, 19 clusters, 1245 links; co-authorship network formed by 186 authors with at least 2 published articles, distributed in 150 clusters; co-citation network formed by authors who received at least 10 citations, with connection to the network and, thematic predominance for “teacher training”. It is concluded that the study of scientific production continues to be important to demonstrate the relevance of communication in the evolution of science and the journal as a tool for updating and as a basis for recording the scientific contribution of researchers. This analysis of the magazine's twenty years contributed to characterizing scientific production in Education, identifying the co-occurrence of the terms used, co-citation network, with emphasis on Focault, Freire, Bordieu, Piaget, Morin, among others. |

Desenvolve uma pesquisa descritiva, que combina abordagem quali/quantitativa para apresentação e análise dos dados por meio da bibliometria e cientometria. O corpus da pesquisa foi constituído por 1.182 artigos de um universo de 1.208 documentos. Os resultados revelaram o artigo científico como tipologia documental predominante e maior presença de autoria única; coocorrência de termos formada por 265 palavras, 19 cluster, 1245 links; rede de coautoria formada por 186 autores com pelo menos 2 artigos publicados, distribuídos em 150 clusters; rede de cocitação formada por autores que receberam no mínimo 10 citações, com ligação na rede e, predomínio temático para “formação docente”. Conclui-se que o estudo da produção científica continua sendo importante para demonstrar a relevância da comunicação científica na evolução da ciência e do periódico como instrumento de atualização e como base para registrar a contribuição científica dos pesquisadores.
