MUTATION OF VALUES AND MERCANTILIZATION OF “PAULISTANAS” SAMBA SCHOOLS IN CONTEMPORARY CAPITALISM

Resumo: The samba schools of São Paulo have been modified throughout their history. This process is related mainly to the intensification of the mercantilization of capitalist society. The mutations of the values that result from this mercantilization will be analyzed, especially in the regime of integral accumulation, in force since the 1980s, corresponding to contemporary capitalism. To do this, we will try to understand the multiple determinations that surround this theme, pointing to the definition of a regime of accumulation and values, as well as presenting a history of the samba schools of São Paulo (originated mostly from “cordões”) and their mutations related to sociability, financing, sponsorship, dissemination and creative process (thematic and production of “sambas-enredo”).

Serão analisadas as mutações de valores consequentes dessa mercantilização, sobretudo no regime de acumulação integral, vigente a partir dos anos 1980, correspondente ao capitalismo contemporâneo.
