Resumo: The present article proposes to expose reflections obtained as a result of bibliographical research seeking to think about the relevance of Sociology Teaching as an instrument of education and reduction of discrimination and ethnic-racial violence at the school. Starting from a succinct recovery of the history of Sociology Teaching in Basic Education, it is proposed a reflection on its instability in the curriculum and its short time of existence - from 2008 - in order to promote the production of instruments and teaching methodologies that contribute to the formation of the teacher and the strengthening of Sociology as a school discipline. Through an analysis of the conceptions on Teaching Sociology evoked in the National Curricular Guidelines (2006) that point to the work with the concepts of Estrangement and Denaturalization as a methodological principle, we try to think the ethnic-racial question as of essential importance, proposing the strengthening of Sociology as an educational resource to combat Racism.

Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências2019-12-20info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/article/view/976910.36311/1982-8004.2019.v12esp.09.p73Revista Aurora; v. 12 n. 3 (2019): Edição Especial; 73-88Revista Aurora; Vol. 12 No. 3 (2019): Edição Especial; 73-88Revista Aurora; Vol. 12 Núm. 3 (2019): Edição Especial; 73-881982-80042177-0484reponame:Revista Aurora (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)instacron:UNESPporhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/article/view/9769/6197Copyright (c) 2019 Revista Aurorahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDantas, Daniely Nascimento MarreiraDias, Wilian Marques2024-04-11T15:20:21Zoai:ojs.revistas.marilia.unesp.br:article/9769Revistahttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/indexPUBhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/oaiaurora.revista@gmail.com||1982-80041982-8004opendoar:2024-04-11T15:20:21Revista Aurora (Online) - Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)false
