The Brazilian education: history of privileges and inequalities

Resumo: | The article deals with Brazilian education as a development process in a context of neoliberal management. During the discussion, the text will address Brazilian economic development and relate to educational public policies in the last thirty years. The objective is to analyze the model adopted and its impact on public education. The methodological approach is qualitative in nature and for theoretical support, the text is based on authors such as Freitas (2021), Santos (2000, 2009, 2014) and Sousa (2021). The result of the discussions conducted in the research allows us to conclude that in the last 30 years, despite the model of economic development, there were some achievements that favored public education, but advances are threatened due to the setback experienced in Brazilian politics after 2016. |

Durante la discusión, el texto abordará el desarrollo económico brasileño y lo relacionará con las políticas educativas públicas de los últimos treinta años. El objetivo es analizar el modelo neoliberal que se adoptó después de la década de 1990 y su impacto en la educación pública. El enfoque metodológico es de carácter cualitativo y para el aporte teórico, el texto se basa en los autores Freitas (2021), Santos (2000, 2009, 2014) y Sousa (2021). El resultado de las discusiones realizadas en la investigación nos permite concluir que, en los últimos 30 años, a pesar del modelo de desarrollo económico, hubo algunos logros que favorecieron la educación pública, pero los avances están amenazados debido al retroceso experimentado en la política brasileña después de 2016.O artigo trata da educação brasileira como processo de desenvolvimento em um contexto de gestão neoliberal. Durante a discussão, o texto abordará o desenvolvimento econômico brasileiro e o relacionará com as políticas públicas educacionais nos últimos trinta anos. O objetivo é analisar o modelo neoliberal que foi adotado pós década de 1990 e o seu impacto na educação pública. A abordagem metodológica é de cunho qualitativo e para o aporte teórico, o texto tem como base os autores Freitas (2021), Santos (2000, 2009, 2014) e Sousa (2021).
