Approach to Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the BNCC of high school: Reflections from Law No. 10.639/03

Resumo: | This work aims to reflect on the approach to Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the National Common Curricular Base of High School in the light of Law nº 10.639/03. To this end, a bibliographic research was carried out based on the examination of academic articles, books, documents and laws that affect the formulation of policies and educational systems. The studies showed that the approaches referring to the teaching of Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the areas of Humanities and Applied Social Sciences and Languages and their Technologies do not contemplate society's aspirations in relation to anti-racist education; problematizations about structural and institutional issues that are the basis for a racist culture are not present in the document; racial issues are addressed in a broad and universal way that privileges the knowledge of Eurocentric Western culture and disregards the specificities of other cultures. |

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el abordaje de la historia y la cultura afrobrasileñas en la Base Curricular Común Nacional de Enseñanza Media utilizando como referencia la Ley nº 10.639/03. Para ello se realizó una investigación bibliográfica a partir del examen de artículos académicos, libros, documentos y leyes que cometen en la formulación de políticas y sistemas educativos. Los estudios revelaron que los enfoques referentes a la enseñanza de la historia y cultura afrobrasileña en las áreas de Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales Aplicadas y Lenguas y sus Tecnologías no contemplan las aspiraciones de la sociedad en relación a la educación antirracista; las problematizaciones de las cuestiones estructurales no están presentes en el documento; Los temas raciales presentase de una manera amplia y universal que privilegia el conocimiento de la cultura occidental eurocéntrica y desprecia las especificidades de otras culturas.Este trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma reflexão acerca da abordagem da história e cultura afro-brasileiras na Base Nacional Comum Curricular do Ensino Médio à luz da Lei nº 10.639/03. Para tal, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica calcada no exame de artigos acadêmicos, livros, documentos, leis e normas oficiais que incidem nas formulações de políticas, planos e sistemas educativos. Os estudos demonstraram que as abordagens referentes ao ensino da história e cultura afro-brasileira nas áreas de Ciências Humanas e Sociais Aplicadas e Linguagens e suas Tecnologias não contemplam os anseios da sociedade em relação à educação antirracista; problematizações acerca das questões estruturais e institucionais que são bases para uma cultura racista não estão presentes no documento; as questões raciais são abordadas de modo amplo e universal que privilegia o conhecimento da cultura ocidental eurocêntrica e desconsidera as especificidades de outras culturas.
