Resumo: This article, presents a general view about the social stuáes that approached the thematic so called "rural middle class" This concept is acquiring new relevancy, specially if we observe the changes that occur in the agranan sector, mainlym Argentina, which have a differentiated effectamong the different social groups To delimit these, and to know its intrinsic characteristics, is a previous and central task to the formulation of development sector policies How it was considered and in what way the study of the rural middle class pampeana was faced, are the two points on wich we focus, in the first place we accomplish a general elaboration about the middle sector, and the rural middle class in particular

Este concepto adquiere día a día nueva relevancia, máxime si se observan los cambios que ocurren en el sector agrario, en especial en el argentino, los cuales tienen un efecto diferenciado y diferenciador entre los distintos grupos sociales. Delimitar a estos, y conocer sus características intrínsecas, es una tarea central y previa a la formulación de políticas sectoriales de desarrollo.
