This article aims to reflect on the possibilities of the use of movies in teacher training through the movie Stealing Heaven (1988), with the theme history of women in the Middle Ages. For this, we use studies on the potentiality of the movie in the teacher training, historical studies, historiographical studies and thematical studies. We observe some possibilities which the utilization of the movie Stealing Heaven provide, such as the deconstruction of the idea of intellectuality only linked to the male context in this historical period and also the deconstruction of the idea of the dominating power of the church over the man and women. Therefore, the movie becomes a necessary tool to teacher training in the contemporaneity, in order to promote not only the critical thinking in basic education, but also when it comes to a movie about history of women, a more egalitarian society on social issues.
