Resumo: Focus and historical analysis of cinematographic productions shown in Brazil that, notably produced by Hollywood and defined as B-movie, incorporate television technologies or open TV as elements of their scripts, reflecting the advances of these in the course of the 1920s and 1930s. And the projections that film plots invest on the operation, uses and possible impacts of those technologies on society. All positioned, understood, and explained historically, at the intersection between technological, communicational, and sociopolitical dimensions. In the same way, it follows the detailed approach of the film S.O.S. Tidal Wave (1939), whose plot deals with the production of the emerging telejournalism, in addition to issuing a clear warning about the risks of televising fake news. Film plot mirroring the growing and widespread political use of the media, in general, and even the newcomer TV.
