Resumo: | Improving the quality of life and social inclusion of the elderly population has gaps to be investigated by the Family Health Strategy team, in particular, by the Nurse. This study aimed to know and identify the existence of primary care actions that interfere in improving the quality of life and social inclusion of the elderly, as well as verifying the limits and possibilities of implementing these actions. For the present study, a bibliographic research was carried out, based on scientific publications indexed in the VHL and PubMed databases. Following the inclusion criteria, a total of 8 studies were selected for analysis, of which 87.5% (7 articles) were published in national journals and 12.5% (1 article) was published in a foreign journal. It was observed, therefore, the prevalence of the existence of prejudices and resistance in the social context in relation to the elderly, lack of knowledge of family members regarding the importance of social inclusion of the elderly and the improvement of the quality of life, lack of assistance institutions aimed at improving the quality of life. life and social inclusion of this segment of society. Since the performance of the Nurse and the primary care team has fundamental relevance in the actions of the Family Clinic, which interfere in the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly and in their social inclusion. |

Neste estudo objetivou-se conhecer e identificar a existência de ações da atenção primária, que interferem na melhoria da qualidade de vida e inclusão social do idoso, bem como, verificar os limites e possibilidades da implementação dessas ações. Para o presente estudo realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica, a partir de publicações científicas indexadas na base de dados BVS e PubMed. Seguindo os critérios de inclusão totalizaram-se 8 estudos selecionados para a análise, dos quais 87,5% (7 artigos) foram publicados em periódicos nacionais e 12,5% (1 artigo) foi publicado em periódico estrangeiro. Observou-se, portanto, prevalência da existência de preconceitos e resistências no contexto social em relação ao idoso, desconhecimento de familiares quanto a importância da inclusão social de idosos e a melhoria da qualidade de vida, inexistência de instituições assistenciais voltadas para melhoria da qualidade de vida e inclusão social desse segmento da sociedade.
