Resumo: The current context, marked by developmentalist economic inspiration in the state discourse and by the corporate business dispute surrounding the exploitation of environmental resources, imposes the need for discussion about the nature-society interactions. Starting from this observation, this article has as aim to discuss the major theoretical perspectives in relation to the duality between the conflict over resources and the developmentalist argument.
