Resumo: Environmental education and distance education are two fields that increasingly converge, forming new cultural networks, giving new meaning to understanding the world and contributing to horizontal practices in the construction of knowledge. In this sense, this work aims at discussing the relationship between Distance Education and Environmental Education, as well as to reflect on the need for mechanisms of qualitative assessment by sections of federal agencies. Using research, literature review and data analysis it will be possible to seek the improvement of lato sensu post-graduation courses, to ensure benefits to society and to educational, scientific and technological development.

Nesse sentido, este trabalho objetiva discutir a relação entre Educação a Distância e Educação Ambiental, bem como refletir sobre a necessidade de mecanismos de avaliação qualitativa por setores dos órgãos federais competentes.
