eoi/doi Deposit-Electronic Object Identifierhttp://eoi.citefactor.org/10.11248/ehum.v4i1.436RESUMO: Este texto configura-se como um recorte da pesquisa de doutorado que vem sendo realizada na Faculdade de Educação da UFMG e que apresenta como objeto de estudo o acesso aos elementos da cultura escrita e a inserção social feminina em Minas Gerais nos séculos XVIII e início do XIX. Questão candente, mas ainda pouco investigada na História da Educação, os saberes femininos no contexto colonial podem elucidar aspectos fundamentais da configuração e dinâmica social. Nossa investigação objetiva evidenciar como a apreensão de elementos da cultura escrita possibilitou a construção de estratégias de negociação com as instâncias representativas de poder e demonstrar como o acesso a esses saberes imprimiu marcas e gerou transformações na configuração colonial. Para tanto, seguimos as orientações teóricas da História Cultural e da História Social. Elegemos para nossa investigação as fontes manuscritas que compõem o acervo do Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino. São documentos relativos a Minas Gerais que foram digitalizados e estão disponíveis para consulta no Arquivo Público Mineiro em Belo Horizonte. Além dessa documentação, utilizamos os inventários e testamentos contidos no Arquivo Casa Borba Gato do Museu do Ouro/IPHAN (Sabará) referente ao período de 1750 a 1800.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Instrução feminina; Colônia; Educação ABSTRACT: This text appears as part of a research doctorate that is being held at the Faculty of Education at UFMG and presenting as an object of study access to elements of literacy and social inclusion of women in Minas Gerais in the eighteenth and early nineteenth . Burning issue, but still poorly investigated in the History of Education, the women in the colonial context knowledge can elucidate key aspects of the setting and social dynamics. Our investigation has as objective evidence as the arrest of elements of print culture enabled the construction of trading strategies with the representative bodies of power and show how access to this knowledge and had impressed marks transformations in the colonial setting. Hence, we follow the guidelines of Cultural History and Social History. We elect our investigation to the manuscript sources that comprise the collection of the Overseas Historical Archive. These are documents relating to Minas Gerais, which have been digitized and are available for inspection in the Public Archives Mineiro in Belo Horizonte.
