Tais questões, por sua vez, tendem a impactar a vida pessoal e familiar das mulheres, propiciando mudanças em suas rotinas e estruturas familiares. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo buscou analisar como mulheres profissionais com alto nível de instrução, mais especificamente funcionárias da Universidade Federal de Viçosa - Campus Rio Paranaíba, gerenciam trabalho remunerado e família e, além disso, quais são as implicações dessa gestão na vida pessoal e profissional das mesmas. Como técnica de coleta de dados, utilizou-se o questionário, com perguntas objetivas e subjetivas. Constatou-se que as mulheres procuram conciliar o trabalho doméstico àquele que é realizado fora do lar; fato que gerou a necessidade de contratar o trabalho de terceiros para a execução das atividades domésticas pelas quais essas mulheres são responsáveis. Contudo, mesmo com a participação de outras pessoas em tais atividades, as funções domésticas não deixaram de ser realizadas pelas mulheres estudas, o que ocasionou uma dupla jornada de trabalho.The increase of women’s educational and career advancement have enlarged their autonomy and participation in society and economy. These issues tend to impact the women’s and family personal lives, providing changes in their routines and family structure. In this sense, this study investigates professional women, workers of the Federal University of Viçosa – Campus Rio Paranaíba, with a high level education, managing job and family and the implications of this management in their personal and professional lives. As a technique of data collection the questionnaire with objective and subjective questions was used. It was found that women try to conciliate the housework and their job, what generated the need of hiring other people to take care of domestic activities, which were supposed to be handled by them.
