eoi/doi Deposit-Electronic Object Identifierhttp://eoi.citefactor.org/10.11248/ehum.v4i2.683RESUMO: Este artigo é uma análise das leituras produzidas por alunos do 3º ano do Ensino Médio, no que se refere à forma como eles constroem inferências para a compreensão das crônicas “O melhor dos mundos”, de Danuza Leão, e “Patético”, de Luiz Felipe Pondé. A leitura é um processo cognitivo complexo que abarca diferentes tipos de conhecimento do leitor. Esses conhecimentos são fundamentais para a construção de inferências e, consequentemente, para a construção de sentidos exigida ao se ler um texto. Assim, dispusemo-nos a analisar as leituras feitas por esses alunos, embasadas em estudos teóricos realizados por importantes autores da área de Linguística Textual, tais como Bronckart, Marcuschi, Bakhtin, Kleiman, Ducrot e outros.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: língua; texto; discurso; gênero textual; crônica; leitura; conhecimentos prévios; inferências.ABSTRACT: This article is an analysis of the readings produced by students of the 3rd year of high school, with regard to how they build inferences to understand the chronic "The best of all worlds" of Danuza Lion, and "Pathetic" by Luiz Felipe Pondé. Reading is a complex cognitive process that includes different types of reader's knowledge. This knowledge is fundamental for the construction of inferences, and consequently to build the required directions to read text. Thus, became willing to analyze the readings taken by these students, supported on theoretical studies by important authors of Linguistics Textual area, such as Bronckart, Marcuschi, Bakhtin, Kleiman, Ducrot and others.KEYWORDS: language; text; speech; genre; chronic; reading; prior knowledge; inferences.Recebido:30/11/2011     Aceito: 30/12/2011
