Resumo: O tema discutido nesse texto analisa as diferentes versões da fundação do Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB) em 1945. Baseando-nos em testemunhos de dois de seus mais antigos e ativos membros, um homem e uma mulher, demos especial atenção aos aspectos relativos a gênero, classe e memória política.AbstractThe issues discussed in this paper analyse the different versions of the fundation of the Brazilian Labor Party (Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro - PTB), in 1945. Relying on the testimonies of two of the party's oldest and most activemembers, one a man, the other a woman, we give special attention to variables linked to gender, class and political memory.
