Resumo: Since the early twentieth century Spanish architecture insistently seeks new ways to approach the vanguards and modernity. Alongside stylistic factors in this process is necessary to emphasize the role played by construction and by the reinforced concrete, in particular. This article presents an overview of the origins of reinforced concrete in Spanish architecture.
