Resumo: | The 21st century environmental awareness and economic needs have motivated the search for sustainable technologies and constructive systems for architecture. In this sense, the use of wood has been stimulated in developed countries, since wood is one of the rare materials of renewable source in the civil construction. The CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) or X-Lam or Cross-Laminated Laminate Panel meets the requirements of lower environmental impact, innovation, ease of installation, uniformity and homogeneity, and compliance with international standards. However, this new technology needs to be validated in real physical and climatic situations, even comparing it with other traditional systems. The objective of this work was to evaluate the quality of a construction in CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) under the approach of environmental comfort. The building used for this evaluation is prefabricated in CLT or X-lam, with dimensions of 20 x 10 m and built in the neighborhood School Agricultural in Blumenau, in an area next to the SENAI Institute of Technology. This research project of scientific initiation is articulated with a major research project (encompassing FURB, SENAI and Habitech - Consortium of Trento Italy and the University of Trento), which is carrying out an evaluation of the quality of ecological self-sustaining buildings. |
