Resumo: Current consumption and production patterns have brought different impacts on the quality of the environment, one of the main problems being the exacerbated generation of solid waste. Due to its intense volume, solid urban waste is one of the greatest challenges for the Government, in addition to directly inferring the relationship between people and consumption. In view of the context presented, the objective of this work is to identify the environmental perception of residents of two neighborhoods in a municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, regarding the situation experienced in relation to the disposal of solid waste in trash cans disposed in front of their homes, in order to observe whether such a situation fits the concepts of environmental injustice. As a methodology, semi-structured interviews were used, which contained binary and other questions based on the Likert scale. As a result, quantitative and qualitative data were obtained, with varied answers on the satisfaction of the collection services and also on the perception / understanding about the theme. It is concluded that the perception varies significantly among residents, as well as, there is evidence of environmental injustice between the two studied territories

It is concluded that the perception varies significantly among residents, as well as, there is evidence of environmental injustice between the two studied territoriesLos patrones actuales de consumo y producción han tenido diferentes impactos en la calidad del medio ambiente, uno de los principales problemas es la generación exacerbada de residuos sólidos.
