Environmental Education and the smallholding: a perspective on sustainable agriculture for peasant women

This article presents a brief reflection about education taking into account rural women in a context of sustainable development, we bring some considerations about Brazilian education, rural education and environmental education, aiming to absorb a critical awareness of the peasant women. rights as a citizenand her duties as an agent of production, instilling in this woman a concern for an economically viable and ecologically sustainable production that allows her to live in the countryside and in the countryside in harmony with biodiversity. Violence is the greatest challenge faced by women in rural activities. Theproblem of environmental degradation [irst affects children, who will be born today, who will inherit the land in the future, and their future is in our hands. Women produce 60 to 80 percent of food in most developing countries and account for half of world food production. However, only recently has their keyrole as producers and food suppliers and their vital contribution to household food security been given the attention they deserve.
