Resumo: A scenario of changes and innovations in the training of health professionals triggered this research that aimed to analyze the role of reflective portfolio in the construction of teaching knowledge, in the context of the Department of Didactic-Pedagogical Training in Health, with 68 graduate students in the health field. With the thematic analysis seven categories: Previous experience and portfolio construction process; Construction of subjectivity; Stimulate the autonomy/self-knowledge; Development of creativity; Integration theory and practice and teaching practice; Development of reflective capacity and synthesis; Changes in evaluation concepts. It was concluded that the portfolio provides the construction of knowledge for teaching, an emancipatory perspective, with metareflection about the educational process, promoting involvement of the subject with their learning and health needs of the population.

A pesquisa documental, de natureza qualitativa, contou com análise de conteúdo na modalidade temática, da qual emergiram seis categorias: experiência prévia e construção do portfólio; construção de subjetividade; estímulo à autonomia/autoconhecimento; integração teoria-prática e atuação docente; estímulo à reflexão e à síntese; e mudanças nas concepções de avaliação.
