Resumo: The present work is a theoretical study derived from a literary integrative review, which aimed to establish parallels between Vygotsky's immersion in analyzes of children with disabilities and his condition as a Jew as another, given the anti-Semitic context surrounding him. It begins by highlighting the historical and dated character of his contributions, demarcating the difficulties faced by Vygotsky when it comes to living in an idealized context so that he would be taken as a foreigner in his own land; it also points out the impacts that the 1917 Revolution had on his psyche and choices, given the dimension of this phenomenon. It ends by asserting that his predilection for analyzing issues involving children with disabilities in his texts is linked to his experience as a Jew in an anti-Semitic context, a relationship not yet explored in the literature.

Comienza destacando el carácter histórico y fechado de sus aportes, demarcando las dificultades que enfrentó Vygotsky en cuanto a vivir en un contexto idealizado para ser tomado como extranjero en su propia tierra; también señala los impactos que la Revolución de 1917 tuvo en su psiquis y opciones, dada la dimensión de este fenómeno. Termina afirmando que su predilección por analizar temas que involucran a niños con discapacidad en sus textos está ligada a su experiencia como judío en un contexto antisemita, relación aún no explorada en la literatura.O presente trabalho trata-se de um estudo teórico derivado de revisão literária integrativa, o qual teve por objetivo estabelecer paralelos entre a imersão de Vygotsky em análises sobre crianças com deficiência e sua condição de judeu como outro, dado o contexto antissemita que o envolvia. Principia, ao destacar o caráter histórico e datado de suas contribuições, demarcando as dificuldades enfrentadas por Vygotsky no que se refere a viver em um contexto idealizado de forma a que fosse tomado como estrangeiro em sua própria terra; pontua também os impactos que a Revolução de 1917 plasmou em sua psique e escolhas, dada a dimensão deste fenômeno.
