Resumo: The plot of the film XXY (2007) by Argentine director Lucía Puenzo revolves around a reflection that questions how modern science architects the body-sex-gender triad in its desire to categorize and order bodies, in so much of the knowledge device of biology that classifies them in a binary way. The text aims to think about the inter-sex body of Alex in XXY in political terms, based on two questions: "What can be done with a body?" and "What can a body do?". In this way, Alex's body will be questioned by the biopolitical devices of normality and by the power of this body that suffers from assuming her condition of existence. It is thus affirmed that the filmic plot of XXY exposes the hybrid of the social conditions of existence and experience, the impurity of our bodies, imperfect, interchangeable and with interventions.

El texto tiene por objetivo pensar el cuerpo inter-sexo de Alex en XXY en términos políticos, a partir de dos cuestiones: “¿Qué se puede hacer con un cuerpo?” y “¿Qué puede un cuerpo?”. De este modo, el cuerpo de Alex será interpelado por los dispositivos biopolíticos de la normalidad y por la potencia de este cuerpo que sufre por asumir su condición de existencia. Se afirma entonces que la trama fílmica de XXY expone lo híbrido de las condiciones sociales de existencia y experiencia, la impureza de nuestros cuerpos, imperfectos, intercambiables y con intervenciones.A trama do filme XXY (2007) da diretora argentina Lucía Puenzo gira em torno de uma reflexão que questiona como a ciência moderna arquiteta a tríade “corpo-sexo-gênero” na sua ânsia de categorizar e ordenar os corpos via dispositivo dos saberes da biologia que os classifica de modo binário. O texto objetiva pensar o corpo intersexo de Alex em XXY em termos políticos a partir de duas questões: “O que se pode fazer com um corpo?” e “O que pode o corpo?”. Deste modo o corpo de Alex será interpelado pelos dispositivos biopolíticos da normalidade e pela potência deste corpo que sofre por assumir sua condição de existência.
