Scientific organization practices at the School of Agriculture of Lavras, Minas Gerais (1969-1975)

Resumo: This is an article whose content analytically describes the scientific organization practices of the School of Agriculture of Lavras (ESAL) between 1969 and 1975, observing the implications of the context of implementation of Law 5.540/1968, which fosters reform brazilian higher education. Methodologically, the research of a historiographical nature employed: i) interviews (based on semi-structured questionnaires) with two ESAL professors who participated in the organization at the time; ii) gathered books of minutes related to the historical period of the Departmental Council and the Editorial Council, educational administration bodies of the examined institution; iii) images (photographs) that translate and portray the Institution and its modus operandi. In general, it was concluded that ESAL aligned its organizational practices to the dictates of the educational policy, while and disseminated a scientific journal and attending to a postgraduate model under the scope of teacher training and the relative demands to scientific production, which is, therefore, a possible narrative to understand the history of the Institution and scientific circularity.

Metodológicamente, la investigación de carácter historiográfico emplea: i) entrevistas (basadas en cuestionarios semiestruturado) a dos profesores de la ESAL que formaban parte de la organización en ese momento; ii) escudriña libros de actas relacionados con el período histórico del Consejo Departamental y del Consejo Editorial, órganos de administración educativa de la institución examinada; iii) imágenes (fotografías) que traducen y retratan la institución y su modus operandi. En general, se concluyó que ESAL alineó sus prácticas organizativas a los dictados de la política educativa vigente, al tiempo que realiza y difunde una revista científica y cumple con un modelo de Posgrado en el ámbito de la formación docente y las demandas relativas a la producción científica, por lo tanto siendo una posible narrativa para comprender la historia de la institución y la circularidad científica.Trata-se de um artigo cujo teor descreve analiticamente as práticas de organização científicas da Escola Superior de Agricultura de Lavras (ESAL) entre os anos de 1969 e 1975, observando as implicações do contexto de implantação da Lei 5.540/1968, a qual fomenta a reforma do ensino superior brasileiro. Metodologicamente a pesquisa de natureza historiográfica emprega: i) entrevistas (com base em questionários semiestruturado) com dois professores da ESAL partícipes da organização à época; ii) coteja livros de atas relativos ao período histórico do Conselho Departamental e do Conselho Editorial, órgãos de administração educacional da instituição examinada; iii) imagens (fotografias) que traduzam e retratem a Instituição e o seu modus operandi.
