This work analyzes the quality of urban life in Videira, SC, through a study carried out in public spaces intended for leisure. Firstly, the leisure sites are classified according to the types found in the city (park, square and square), and it investigates, based on the city's evolution, the quality of these spaces, along with their infrastructure, urban furniture, state of conservation and maintenance and distribution related to population density. We also seek to investigate to what extent leisure spaces play a role in environmental and urban quality as elements of urban design necessary for contemporary cities. The quality of urban life can be perceived at qualitative and quantitative levels, but this is not enough to quantify them. We need to understand how these spaces are distributed equally in the urban fabric and serve the entire population fairly and democratically. We realized through the analyzes carried out that the spaces are unequally distributed and need more holistic attention in the urban planning process, enabling cities where the territorial distribution of public leisure space is democratic, with the same access opportunities for the entire population.
