Laboratory Teaching of Mathematics and Identification of Obstacles to the Knowledge of Teachers of Mathematics

Resumo: Using the main theories of Bachelard and Brousseau onepistemological and didactical obstacles we sought through this research, toidentify these obstacles during a workshop offered for teachers of mathematics.The workshop was on the use of Laboratory for Teaching Mathematics (LTM) in aschool environment. Data collection was performed during the workshop, using audio and image, and it was necessary for a previous selection by theresearchers in some activities with manipulatives and games presented in aLTM. Based on these materials was observed the existence of obstacles in theepistemological and theoretical concepts and teaching practices in the teacherssurveyed.

Based on these materials was observed the existence of obstacles in theepistemological and theoretical concepts and teaching practices in the teacherssurveyed. Utilizando as principais teorias de Bachelard e Brousseau sobre obstáculos epistemológicos e didáticos, buscamos, com esta pesquisa, identificar tais obstáculos durante uma oficina sobre a utilização de Laboratório de Ensino de Matemática (LEM) em um ambiente escolar, oferecida para professores de matemática. A coleta de dados foi realizada durante a oficina, por meio de gravações de áudio e imagem, e para isso foi necessária uma seleção prévia pelos pesquisadores de algumas atividades com materiais manipuláveis e jogos presentes em um LEM.
