Retrospectiva histórica e perspectiva atuais da análise de erros em Educação Matemática

Resumo: The presente article offers a historical retrospective of error analysis in Mathematics Education, pointing out different phases, which are: investigations based on behaviorism, on information processing and on constructivism. In the first phase, the research aimed, mainly, to classify the types of errors made by students in the early school years. Computer programs have been developed to detect patterns of errors under the information processing point of view. According to the constructive approach researches enhance the role of the error in the building of knowledge. Among the researchers that are nowadays dedicated to Error analysis we find Raffaella Borasi, presents several Alternatives for the use of errors, according to the researcher’s Didactic poupose and focus of interest. From Borasi’s scheme, examples of use errors in the teaching of differential and Integral calculus are discussed.

O presente antigo apresenta uma retrospectiva histórica da análise de erros em Educação Matemática, apontadas as diversas fases, a saber: as investigações apoiadas no behaviorismo, no processamento da informação e no construtivismo. Na primeira fase, as pesquisas procuravam, principalmente, classificar os tipos de erros cometidos por alunos dos primeiros anos escolares. Sob a ótica do processamento da informação, foram desenvolvidos programas de computador para detectar padrões de erros. Já sob a perspectiva construtivista, os investigadores destacam o papel do erro na construção do conhecimento. Entre os pesquisadores que se dedicam, atualmente, à análise de erros, encontramos Raffaella Borasi, que apresenta várias alternativas para o uso dos erros, segundo o objetivo didático e o foco de interesse do investigador. A partir do esquema de Borasi, são apresentados exemplos de uso dos erros no ensino de Cálculo Diferencial e Integral.
