Resumo: | The High School Mathematics teachers’ knowledge within their teaching practices ofStatistics was the core of the survey results presented in this article. The studies on teacher education oron teaching structure have had a tendency of sidelining the role of teachers' practice, neglecting theirproduced knowledge. By introducing an analytical field, this research intended to diagnose andunderstand the knowledge put into action when teaching statistics content. Based on the survey answersof High School teachers, we have presented how the knowledge of the sciences of education and ofpedagogical action is present in teaching practices. A first kind of knowledge is related tointerdisciplinarity, problem-solving and constructivist pedagogy; a second kind shows the use oftextbooks, media and technology as privileged resources of high school teachers. |

A first kind of knowledge is related tointerdisciplinarity, problem-solving and constructivist pedagogy; a second kind shows the use oftextbooks, media and technology as privileged resources of high school teachers.Os saberes docentes mobilizados pelos professores de Matemática do Ensino Médio em suas práticas de ensino da Estatística constituíram o alvo de uma pesquisa cujos resultados são apresentados neste artigo. Entendeu-se que os estudos acerca da formação docente ou da constituição da docência tendem a secundarizar o papel das práticas dos professores, negligenciando os saberes produzidos. Ao instaurar um campo analítico, a pesquisa pretendeu diagnosticar e compreender os saberes colocados em ação no ensino de conteúdos estatísticos. A partir das respostas dos questionários aplicados a professores do Ensino Médio, percebeu-se que os saberes das ciências da educação e da ação pedagógica estão presentes nas práticas docentes.
