Resumo: This mapping study was based on research developed in the Observatory of Education Program (OBEDUC) thatused the Social Theory of Learning to seek to understand teacher learning in formative contexts with teacherswho teach mathematics. Six studies were selected from two different research groups. Three of these studiesanalyzed a Communities of Practice (CoP) constituted in the city of Paranavaí/PR and the other three studiesinvestigated a CoP in the city of São Paulo/SP. The analyzed studies indicate that the formation of CoPmovement has diversified way. Nevertheless, it is important to emphasize that the enterprises in which theywere engaged were negotiated according to the formative demands of their members. In this context, amovement of mutual commitment between CoP members regarding entrepreneurship and community.

Foram mapeados seis estudos vinculados a dois grupos de pesquisa distintos. Três desses estudos analisaram uma Comunidades de Prática (CoP) constituída na cidade de Paranavaí/PR e os outros três estudos investigaram uma CoP na cidade de São Paulo/SP.
