Resumo: The reforms initiated in the Spanish educational system attach aimportant role to the new Technologies of Information and Communication(T.I.C.), that they point the obligator education as the space where if mustinitiate to constitute the functional use of the technological means. In march ofthis reform, the most important is to ask what the value and the role thatteachers attach to the TIC as a resource in the processes of teaching andlearning of the Mathematics in the primary education.This paper analyzes the results of an experience with four teachers of PrimaryEducation (Elementary Education Cycle I) from a Public school of Tenerife(Spain), conducted through meetings with discussions, application ofquestionnaire and interviews, which tried to apprehend what these professionalsthought on the proposed reforms. We detach the determinative paper of theprofessor, conditioned by their knowledge and beliefs, in the implementation ofthe TIC.

No marco dessa reforma, o mais importante é nos perguntarmos qual o valor e o papel que os professores atribuem às TIC como recurso nos processos de ensino-aprendizagem da matemática na educação primária. Este trabalho analisa os resultados de uma experiência com quatro professoras de Educação Primária (Ensino fundamental Ciclo I) de uma escola pública de Tenerife (Espanha), realizada por meio de reuniões com discussões, aplicação de questionário e entrevistas em profundidade, que tentavam apreender o que pensavam essas profissionais sobre as reformas propostas.
